Where's My Bright Neon Sign?

So, yesterday I met with Steph for smoothies, after her trip to Indiana and we got to talking about school, careers, families, etc. It got me thinking.. She’s got her shit together like whoa.. I on the other hand do not have a college degree and I still don’t know what I want to do with my life. I mean it’s not like I have never been to college or anything. I’ve got credits in some of the most random classes but it’s because I can never make up my mind. I started going for Art, then it switched to Vet, then it switched to Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon.. and now I’m doing accounting at a random company while still working for LifeWay (a non-profit drug rehab program)

It’s not that I feel like I haven’t done anything with my life, it’s just that I want to do something… important. I want to have a passion for something and be certain about it. (i.e. Steph and her interior design)

All the things I want to be:

Artist
Vet
Surgeon
Graphic Designer
Game Designer
Drug Counselor (with a PhD)
Marine Biologist
Architect

..and I think that’s it for right now..

See there’s my problem. I want to do like 100 things at once and I know that I can’t. I know that I would be happy with any one of those things. I know that I could make some sort of living with any one of those things… well besides the artist, that may have to just be a hobby BUT my dilemma is still that I cannot choose. There are pro’s and con’s to every single one of those. I almost just want to pull one out of a hat and that’ll just be the thing I choose to go back to school for. I’ve been thinking about this for a long time and it’s frustrating because the longer I can’t make up my mind the longer I’m stuck in limbo land… Limbo land includes working WAY too hard for NOT enough money.. and by not enough money I mean I literally get paid shit, not like I get paid alright and I could be making more so I complain about it kind of thing.

*stressed*

Hopefully something will happen that is like a bright neon sign that points me in the right direction because I am terrified of making a wrong decision and wasting thousands of dollars on something that I figure out (later on) I don’t want to do for the rest of my life..

Tree Hugger... I admit it!

((Speak Love)) Earth Day is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment. It was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in held on April 22, 1970. Earth Day is celebrated in spring in the Northern Hemisphere and autumn in the Southern Hemisphere. Earth Day Network, a group that wishes to become the coordinator of Earth Day globally, asserts that Earth Day is now observed on April 22 on virtually every country on Earth. World Environment Day, celebrated on June 5 in a different nation every year, is the principal United Nations environmental observance. Many communities also celebrate Earth Week, an entire week of environment-related activities.

Trend or Tragedy... Def. Tragedy...

Are you seeing what I’m seeing? …. I’m not sure you are …. Because I know that you can’t possibly be understanding the complete and total idiocy awesome-ness of this, I will explain. The guy in the picture is sporting what could only be described as “iPad Bling”. He’s got $700 worth of fragile Apple product swinging from his neck like it’s nothing. (Implying his wealth and gangster-ness obviously) Have you seen how easily that shit scratches?! I know that since my iPhone’s birth (aka when I bought it) there has been a screen protector and case on that hoe… there’s a reason… because the fear of putting it in my purse and it shattering into a million Apple shaped pieces is REAL....

Steph’s words : “Just NO”
*I concur*

In conclusion, he looks like a big d-bag, I think that this “trend” is probably one of the more stupid ones, and I really hope he purchased the Apple Care package with insurance…

*Would like to thank Steph for bringing up the topic

Fill in the blank... THURSDAY

1. The strangest thing I've ever eaten was probably Squid.. I don’t really venture outside of my comfort zone with food, it freaks me out.

2. My best friend(s) are some of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. I love them to death and couldn’t do much without them.

3. If I could live in a different era it would be the “Hippie Era”. Definitely dig the peace and love movement.

4. I like bringing my dogs to the dog park, going to shows, music, coffee.. I like way to many things for this list to ever be completed.

5. If you only know one thing about me it should be I’m extremely sarcastic and love to laugh (considered two things?)

6. My favorite book of all time is from a long, long time ago called, “Tomorrow, Maybe”

7. The one beauty product I couldn't live without is mascara.. I have blonde eye lashes which are invisible without it.

8. Blogging is hard for me to stick with… thb, it lets me vent or rant or whatever, plus it’s a great time waster

9. If I could star in a movie with any actor/actress I would want to work with Gerard Butler. Hands down.

10. One of the best feelings in the world is accomplishing something that someone told you, you never would.

I don't know

So, it's been awhile *smacks head* I suck, I know. Forgive me?

Awesome, now I don't really have much to chit chat about because this app does not allow for long ramblings.. But something did happen yesterday, someone tried to run me over with their car, it was amazing, okay not really.. It's a really long story and it's not worth my time venting about via blogspot, mostly in fear that said person involved may somehow find this blog with her ninja slueth skills and respond in the same irrational fashion (trying to hit me with her car) as finding out that years ago her husband (not husband or boyfriend or anything at the time of this incident) and I went out on a couple dates and realized that we were better of being good friends... Nothing shady happened or has happened since that decision was made.

Ugh, there I go venting.. I'm stopping now.. People are weird sometimes..

*sleeping pills*
